Juvenile, BG albums ready
Juvenile's new album will come complete with ringtone-ready software. When Reality Check drops March 7 on UTP/Atlantic, fans will be able to create and purchase their own custom ringtones from any section of any song on the album. "Juvenile has always been an innovator, so it is perfect that he is the first artist in America to embrace this amazing technology," said James Lopez, Atlantic's vice president of marketing. "Atlantic is constantly looking for new ways for consumers to feel personally involved with our artists' music. By giving his fans the ability to create their own unique ringtones, Juvenile has taken the connection between artist and audience to an exciting new place." Juve's new album has an all-star guest list that includes Ludacris, Fat Joe, Eightball, Mike Jones, Paul Wall and UGK's Bun B. Meanwhile, former Cash Money labelmate BG has teamed with longtime producer Mannie Fresh for a new album. The Heart of tha Streetz Vol. 2 is scheduled to be released March 21 on Koch Records, and the first single, "Move Around," has already hit the airwaves. BG has had his share of struggles since bailing from Cash Money in 2001, but he says it was all worth it. "Everything that I've been through qualifies me to be the heart of the streets," BG said in a statement. "Everybody knows my history and my background, so I've got the right to call myself the heart of the streets. I've been in the game since I was 14. This is my tenth solo project; nine solo albums, three Hot Boys albums, and a gang of underground discs. I ain't but 25 and I'm already a legend." Latest news...
