Sticky Fingaz takes on 'Blade'
Move over, Wesley Snipes. Sticky Fingaz of Onyx fame will take on the title role in "Blade: The Series," Spike TV's first original scripted offering. Production began last week in Vancouver, Canada, on 11 one-hour episodes. Sticky, also known by his real name Kirk Jones, plays Blade, a half-man, half-vampire who sets up shop in Detroit to investigate and exterminate a house full of vampires. Along the way he forms an uneasy alliance with a former military veteran played by Jill Wagner, who is best known for "Punk'd" and recent Mercury commercials. Sticky previously has appeared in "The Shield," "Over There," "New York Undercover," "Next Friday," "Clockers," "Dead Presidents" and numerous other acting roles since 1995. "Blade" premieres June 28 with a two-hour episode. Latest news...
