CBS makes L.L. Cool J even richer
L.L. Cool J signed one of the richest television deals in years to develop and star in his own drama series for CBS. A guest appearance on Fox's medical drama "House" (not to be confused with L.L.'s own '90s sitcom, "In the House," which aired on NBC and UPN) launched a bidding war among networks to retain the MC's services. Despite some success in movies and a return to his music with an album earlier this year, L.L. was convinced to go back into TV by an offer worth more than seven figures, according to Variety.
