React: Is Outkast done?

Andre 3000 denies Outkast breakup
With Andre 3000 appearing on MTV's "Total Request Live" on Tuesday, the perfect opportunity presented itself to address the rumors of an Outkast split. But he didn't seize it. That left Andre scrambling later in the day to let people know all is still well between him and Big Boi. "I was on 'TRL' today to release a new video, and I meant to say something on the air," Andre told MTV News. "But the way they had the questions set up, I didn't have a chance to do it." Andre, who debuted "Idlewild Blue" on "TRL," said that the media and the streets have been equally flooded by breakup talk. "Yesterday I got a phone call from Big Boi and he said that on some hip-hop websites that the headlines were reading something to the effect of, 'It's official: Outkast is broken up,' or something like that," Andre said. "And man, we're looking at it like, where is this sh-- coming from? N----- hit me in the street like, 'Yeah man, I heard the bad news. Sorry to hear about that.' I'm like 'Man, what are you talking about?' Everything is still tight, most definitely." Andre insisted that he still has no desire to tour with Big Boi, one of many strains on the relationship that The 411 Online reported in May, but he hinted that a new Outkast album might be in the works. "We're holding it under wraps. We want to keep it on the low so expectations won't be a certain way. But we're still doing music." React: Comment on this story...
